Our flaps were eaten by the tires too.

As you noted, the driveshaft thing is a Ford problem. The Ford dealership will fix it for you. I have to tell you, after having this fixed, the ride is MUCH IMPROVED. Ours was terrible!

Our paint is very nice. My suggestion is to call Thor directly, don't mess with the dealership regarding this problem.
