Last night I ditched all the plug-in style incandescent bulbs with these:
LED Bulbs

They are fantastic. The fixture over the couch, the round one with 3 bulbs, would get so hot that it would burn you, and it made the cabinetry really super hot. Also, the two over the bed got hot too. Then there are the 3 in the bathroom. So, the pack of 10 bulbs was $22, and I only needed 8 of them, and I'm really happy with the result.
