Well, I can't get a picture of the top without dragging out a ladder, and I can't set up the ladder beside the RV on that side, as it is pushed up too close to my bushes and such that border my property. I don't think anything was added horizontally when they did the work, but if you take a picture later of what it is you are asking about, I can pretty easily go look at mine and see if there is any difference.
From my understanding, the main difference of the new system is as stated before, the stronger motors (which I believe they just increased the gear ratio, they appear to be the same motors), better shafts (mine were not aluminum, but were multi-piece units shoddily welded together), and the addition of the third track. While they had mine apart, they found the bottom rollers were broken off due to screwing them into wood, and the bottom guides were scratched to heck.
