Interesting...two things I am vigilant on drivetrain and slide issues. I am assuming the drivetrain noise is more than a subtle sound as I only hear sounds I consider regular truck noise. Did they show you where it was installed incorrectly? Could you take a picture? Regarding the slide, so far so good. However, I do remember when I first purchased the coach the dealer put the slide out without leveling jacks down...granted the ground looked close to level...but I remember thinking why not do it right?
Well I still have the driveline noise. Whatever they did didn't correct a thing. I'm back to dealing with MORryde as I refuse to take it back to the shop they sent me to - They had it two weeks and obviously didn't even attempt to drive it to see/hear the noise.
My noise happens mostly from a complete stop. It occurs the worst when I flat tow our Jeep, are on a slight incline, or for some reason wheels turned slightly either direction (entering an on ramp). It sounds like a loud clatter (not grinding) and increases as I accelerate. If I ease up on the accelerator I can almost get it to stop and then once we get up to about 30-40mph it stops.
We are going camping this weekend so I refused to take it anywhere and will have to deal with it next week if a different shop can get me in.
Like someone said already, I too am starting to have buyers remorse. We still have a list of small nagging warranty issues Thor needs to correct which the dealer already has parts for but with the driveline issues, I haven't had a chance to take it back to let the dealer mess with it.
