172 days is insane. Mine wasn;'t in the shop that long, but it was at least half that. The most maddening part for me was when I would bring the RV into the shop to fix an issue(s), it would be there for several weeks, then after picking it up, I would find out that they either didn't fix the problem(s), or the fix was so half-assed, it would break again.
The tipping point for me was after sending the coach in to fix my leaking water pump, which resulted in a pool of water gushing out from under the bed. The first time it happened was while we were dry camping about 150 miles from home for 3 days. After the shop *fixed* it (several weeks in the shop) during our first trip out dry camping, it immediately started leaking again. When I got home, I pulled it out and from what I can tell, they didn't swap out the entire pump, but rather JUST the little rubber diaphragm that had failed. I'm not sure if this was even a valid way to fix it, but anyway... I decided that from that point forward, i would only bring it in for warranty work if it was something that was outside of my mechanical abilities. Which sucks, but it was not worth the aggravation. As for the water pump, I ended up spending the time to relocate it to one of the rear external storage compartment which meant that it was MUCH quieter than having it under the bed. Also, if it failed again, it would leak into waterproof compartment. No issues since then.
