Yeah, put a few grand, several months in the shop (in my case it was), and a bunch of headaches into one and they become pretty nice. :)
We really like ours now. Sure, for 2x the money you can get one 4x as nice, but given my hobby and the fact we drag two border collies and a teenager with us most of the time, and really I don't want anything any nicer than what we have.
My next upgrades are:
The water pump - the stock one is noisy. I am told this is the one to fix it:

I want to put speakers in the outside wall on each side of the TV like the new ones. They run off the Jensen radio in the bedroom. I'm not sure how hard this is going to be, but you can forget trying to hear the TV outside if there is any noise around.
We are considering doing a full interior repaint and some other work. I hate all the brown. We want to replace the flooring, and paint the walls and cabinetry. We are stuck with the couches unfortunately, so we will have to do something that will blend with what we have. We are a big fan of mid-century, we have a mid-century modern home, and want to at least take those colors out to the RV to brighten it up.
We put a very thick mattress pad on the stock mattress:

This made a huge difference in comfort, but we will probably switch the mattress out to one of the foam units from Sam's. We have one of these in our house, and we love it. We are looking at one of the thinner ones, maybe the 10" for the RV. This is the one we have in the house:

Maybe this one for the RV:

Last on the list is TVs. Last, because honestly we aren't in the RV to watch TV. The new ones have much better TVs than what we have. The front one is now a 36" and the rear a 32", if I remember correctly. I like a good picture, and these in our coaches do not have a good picture. The DVD player is out on the living room TV, but I don't really care. We usually take a PS3 with us when we travel, and we use it mostly. Also, I have a soundbar for the living room TV I want to make a mount for. It makes a huge difference when trying to hear the TV, especially if the A/C is running.
