Yes, they could have made me custom ones without the reservoirs. However, I decided to try installing with the reservoirs to see if they would fit. Custom made ones were more money. All I can tell you is my wife says the ride is much better in the back. Honestly, I went with King because of a family member who swears by them and had custom ones made one for his class A.
Ford shock part number for the F550 is different from the F450 shocks (which King makes shocks for). They had me take one off and bring to them for measurement and it turns out to be the same as on F450 (not sure why Ford has different part number). There are not many upgraded shocks that fit F550, but knowing what I know now, ones made for the F450 will fit the F550.
