Did you see how they fixed it? I watched them and took some pictures. My cap was coming loose from the passenger side. They put more screws in the front edge and more screws with that compound further back. I drove 80 miles home from shop and got back from 600 miles round trip. Going on another 600+ round trip next week. So far, caulk for cap didn't not come loose...however heard a faint swear on way back from last trip (was driving late at night...maybe sounder was always there from something else?). Went to dump and get diesel fuel next couple of days and heard no squeaking. Will let you know when I return from my next trip if my fix holds up. Would be glad to PM you with pictures to help with your repair if it works.
