- northmeck0255ExplorerWe prefer no slides, so I say "Go for it!!". Looks like a great coach. Ours has 183,000 and runs like new.

Mike, as mentioned, you need to go to the Prevost site as there are a ton of things to read. We are seriously thinking of having a new one built, I have been in contact with one of the major converters. I am amazed at how different each converter tackles the job of building the house part. Some use Prevost slides, some use Valid, some use Aqua-Hot others use Wabasto.
One thing I've been reading about older Prevost chassis is that they develop air leaks, it's just the nature of the beast. There are Norgren valves that are replaced on somewhat a regular basis along with the airbags. All of it is 'fixable' and seems to need attention at about the age coach that you are looking at. If it hasn't been an issue yet, it will be or it's been fixed/maintained already.
Good luck, that's a cool coach!
MM. - smlrangerExplorerI agree with Effy on the decor. I don't think me or DW would want those colors. However, unless the pics are really lying, it looks meticulously maintained. And it is no question that a Prevost is going to be a joy to drive and is rock-solid.
We've also been spoiled with slides so that would be a show stopper for us. However, if you can get it at a great price after verfication that is it mechancially sound, there are many places that will re-decorate the interior. - EffyExplorer IIAs others have said the mileage is nominal on this chassis. Really comes down to whether you are ok without a slide and can deal with the paint scheme and interior. It's really dated but that's my opinion. Looks like Don Johnson had it on the set of Miami Vice but to each his own. You could re-do the interior and be way ahead on that chassis. I would say it's worth looking at. Hard to beat that chassis for longevity, durability and driveability.
- liberty2010ExplorerON the mileage. These a 2 million mile chassis. Our Silver Eagle is well into the millions I am sure as it is a 1967 and was on the road till the early 1990s hauling folks around. The Prevost has a great engine and the only thing I would say on the 60 series is talk to a DD shop about the internal maintenance and do it. I think they get bearings at some time in there life.
Then get in and ride. I do know of several Prevost coaches that have sold for less money that this one. They were bank owned. - 3sacrwdExplorerLooking is free. Looks like a great coach. Personally, I dont need, nor really want a slide. I would rather have a high end rig than one that has slides. I really like the look and the quality of Prevosts. Good luck, and let us know what your thoughts were. You could obviously offer less, and I am sure you will. I guarantee the owner is counting on an offer less than full asking price. Not crazy about the colors of some areas, but I would definitly live with it.
- steelpony5555ExplorerThat thing is gorgeous. It looks well taken care of and I would not hesitate to buy it. Folks suggesting you buy a gas rig have no idea what a Prevost really is. This rig will outlast 3 gas MH's....Prevost's are 1-5 million dollars brand new....

To each there own but $129,000 for a 16 year old motorhome with 176,000 miles and no slides seems to much, you do know for that same amount of dollars you can buy a brand new class A gas motorhome with slides plus warranty..
But it is not a Prevost. There is a slightly newer one on ebay with 300k miles for 269k. Maybe used ones are priced at $1 per mile. - hersheyExplorerI'd consider that bus in a hearbeat if for no other reason than; what fun it would be to dirve. As for the slide? Yeah, I'd miss that one item but the rest of the items far exceed anything I could afford.
