The roof rails are the curved pieces that connect the side walls and roof. Tiffin made a design change on some coaches newer than our 2006 that had the fiberglass roof continue over the edge (radius) and connect to the walls as one sheet. Our Phaeton did not have this problem. We have had the slide floor and wet bay floor replaced, in our case under warranty a couple of years ago. Check for a noticeable sagging floor under the wet bay, this is a sign of it needing to be changed, ours showed up in late 2009 and again in 2012. The new system is a composite sheet of plastic that can not rot as plastic wrapped marine plywood can. Our problem was caused by a cracked shower drain coupling nut a slow long term leak, only when shower used. It was found the second change out.
Thank-you for the information about this. I have been on my roof numerous times and have not found any weak spots or separation, so I'm wondering if that was not a problem on the Bus. My wet bay is a one piece molded plastic pan, not wood wrapped. I can only assume that the previous owner had the wet bay floor changed out. I will be keeping a close eye on those things though.
