-- No black tank - choice of cassette or composting toilet. (One look at an RV dump site and you will love this.)
Nah, I much prefer the old sewer hose/holding tank style which is one reason that, even if I could afford it, I'm not interested in the Malayan.
Tardis: Thanks for the pictures!
Although I have seen a Tiger CX in 'person', it may be necessary for me to travel from WA all the way to SC to get the real scoop before I order. And although the heavier-duty chassis is now used, the GVWR is only 10,700 so I really want to get at least an estimate of the dry weight. I could get DRW and increase the GVWR but having only four tires to replace instead of six is a plus and also makes pressure checks a little easier.
I'm looking to simplify overall which may mean sacrificing the generator in favor of storage. As long as my batteries can be charged with the engine (I don't stay in one place more than two or three days, tops) or by solar I don't really need a generator. If it's really hot, I'll find a campground with electric hookups. I think over the years my late husband and I used the generator more during power outages than we did camping and I seldom run mine except for maintenance but it's another oil change, etc. to perform.
