You also get more legroom, and probably better seats. The truck chassis also gives you more options of powertrain, aside from OEM 4WD.
With the Tiger, you get the choice of any 1-ton Dodge, Ford or Chevy, in any cab length.
There's a downside, of course; more overall length relative to the coach length, and no way to swivel the front seats.

Just throwing out another option for you in regards to a fairly robust 4x4 motor home.

Special order a Phoenix Cruiser on an E450 chassis with their 4x4 Quigley option. I think they can do it on any floor plan, but I've only seen a 2350 and 2400 with a Quigley.

This shows an E350, but you can get it on the E450 for a monetary up-charge.

No, sorry..I don't have a link, but some E mailing, etc would probably garner the needed info.

And..a person can install a front drive hydraulic system for about 1/4 of 4 wheel drive, and remove the mechanical's of drives and transfer cases. Just a thought.

Gary, what brand front wheel hydraulic drive? Do you have a link?
I saw the Tuthill and EZ drive systems but they seemed for larger trucks.

I wanted to add that having a 4x4 conversion added on an existing RV is a wrinkle. Not just every shop does this, but there is one in Utah and one in Kamloops BC, to mention two.
