If I had the money..but reality isn't always kind in that regard, so I have to do a wallet-check on some things. Like, do I buy the 30ft Bertram or a folding kayak? Or..do I buy a very wonderful Tiger or Earthroamer, so do I take another path.
I bought a 24ft C that had already been converted to 4x4. And lifted. And added 250w of solar, and an Aluminess bumper and Warn 12,000 winch and some Lightforce lighting. All in, I am at less that 50% of a Tiger. I have the living facilities of a 24ft C and and and.
I am suggesting that if a person is wanting a worthy 4x4 type vehicle, they do not have to break the reality bank, but in fact can get more and do more by thinking a bit outside the box.
And..a person can install a front drive hydraulic system for about 1/4 of 4 wheel drive, and remove the mechanical's of drives and transfer cases. Just a thought.
I wanted to add that having a 4x4 conversion added on an existing RV is a wrinkle. Not just every shop does this, but there is one in Utah and one in Kamloops BC, to mention two.
