Maybe I should make an effort to find the yellow painted version when I re-attempt to get mine. Not only would I hold a non-painted surface suspect in the elements as well, but I don't want to find out the hard way that the shock was changed in some other way and doesn't work as well as everybody has been saying.
You could also call E Shocks,as I said before,they have been selling Bilsteins for over 40 years, Their staff is very knowledgeable and can answer all your questions,what ever it may be.
I have used them for over 30 years,for my Bilstein needs for my off road cars and my personal ones.They always have the answers about Bilsteins.
