Time to replace windshield /side curtains

My 2008 Forest River Georgetown needs new privacy curtains. They have loops at the top to connect to hooks hanging from a track that goes along the side and front of the coach.

I have looked all over and need some suggestions. The curtains themselves are OK but the majority of the loops have worn through.
Ideas and suggestions, please.
  • I made the windshield drapes for our Bounder
    Bought the Fabric online
Roc Lon, two tone insulated reflective light blocking fabric
  • My wife bought some similar material as the old curtains and cut and sewed new ones for our Bus. They look great. The cost for the new ones was much less than buying them from CW,
  • I took the old worn, stained curtains down, wife took them to a drapery place who then made a new set. Re installed and look great. All in, less expensive than buying from Camping World who was the only other option at the time
  • Each of my front curtains is about 8 feet wide. Without pleats, I doubt they can be pushed far enough back to not cover the side window while we are driving. Chuck

My current curtains have the pleats that the hook fastens to. I’m gonna make new ones this summer. I don’t think I need pleats anymore and will just make them wide enough that they look full. We don’t use them all that much anyway cause we have the black mesh on the outside of the window.
  • My wife just finished replacing about a half dozen torn loops on our curtains. All you need is someone with sewing skills. I'll be putting them back up today.
  • In our past coach my wife made some great privacy/reflective curtains. She found at one of the major fabric stores black see thru fabric with small reflective pieces on one side. This fabric was easy to work with and looked great from both the inside of the coach and the outside. I believe it helped in keeping the inside temp. down also.
  • Windshield replacement shops/stores have not been helpful on that issue? I am very surprised.
