Most truck stops you will need to go inside to pay at fuel desk. No big deal. Pay fuel move your rig. Don't be a tourist. Get your fuel and move your rig before shopping using bathroom etc. Don't occupy pump any longer than required.
Fueling at truckstops is all about easy access for me. I'm more concerned about easy access than cost of fuel.
I'm not a fuel timer so in the end I just don't buy enough fuel for the cost to matter. I will not drive out of my way while towing to save a few cents on fuel.
