Tips when Fueling at truck stops

I have had some success at FJ & Pilot big rig pumps with PATP swiping my credit card. The big issue I have is that it can not be done with my Wells-Fargo Visa. FJ does a $500 hold on the big rig pumps. This automatically gets blocked by the fraud dept. at Wells. Additional re-swipes will get the card completely shut down. Wells admits that this is a problem, tells me that it can be resolved when the system sees a steady volume of FJ fuel purchases, but will not allow me to use the card for said purchases. At one point I made the fraud dept. representative repeat that last catch-22 silliness to me, several times. I then asked if he was giving any thought to how stupid that sounded? Bottom line is that it is unresolvable, and they couldn't care. MY BOA card works fine.
