tire brands that handle and ride the best??

I searched tires and looked thru 200 plus posts. Class C GVWR 11,500 on LT 215/85/R16 tires as called for in the mfg. spec sheet. I need to replace as they are 5 years old. I have a feel from reading the posts about some tires better reputation than others, but how about the ride and handling aspect. Do some brands have a better reputation in that area than others?? Thanks
  • I took Michelin's off our Southwind and replaced them with Hankook.
I like the Hankook tires better, I would buy them again.

The best and most rugged tire money can buy is the Michelin XPS Ribs tire. A set'll set you back over $2K, but they're worth every dollar you spend. I'be been running them for years!
  • Carlisle. For extended storage I jack the trailer up to get the weight off the tires. You know, so they are round during storage.
  • I would actually recommend the Toyos.
Have had them on SUV's and Class A motorhome. Very satisfied customer.
  • I'll be watching this one closely. I'll be replacing my Toyos next year. The Toyo open country's have been fine but always watching to see what people are putting on.
  • Get ready for a ton of answers that'll take a long time to read. I won't say anything other than Michelin is a popular brand and costly. I put on the best tire money can buy since my family is riding on them. Good luck.
