Actually no. they do not (As a rule) do that great a job of blocking UV rays.
Looks mostly. Though I used tire covers (till they got too old) as projection screens at Christmas .
But UV does a fair job of passing right through 'em.
They look nice though.
A little bit about tires.. They contain oils that do protect them from UV and the flexing as you drive brings these oils to the surfact... Sitting for months on end... NOT GOOD.
