Tire Inflation Dilemma

I recently had a stem replaced on one of my real duallies due to a slow leak. When the guy inflated my tires he set the rears for 80PSI and the front for 65PSI. He said all Class Cs should have 80PSI in the rear but the sticker from Thor says 65PSI. What do you guys think? TIA.

  • The guy is an idiot. Your tires, all of your tires, should be inflated per the manufacturer's load table to handle the actual weight they carry. That might be 80# and it might be 65#. Get your rig weighed, loaded as you normally travel and inflate accordingly.

  • Winnebago says 65 for my RV. I run well under load limits and use 65. I like the comfortable ride. I have had shops try to give me 80 because that’s what is on the tires.
