We just got a class c and will be taking it on the beach. To get on the beach we have to deflate our tires to 18 LBS. My question is when leaving the beach do I inflate the inner or outer tire first on the rear of the RV. Does it matter? and would dry nitrogen be better then moist air from a compressor?

Who says you have to deflate your tires to 18 PSI "to get to the beach" ???Second questions, why? At 18 psi you can easily damage your tires as they are still carrying the full load of your coach.I'm guessing that when re inflating your tires it will make no difference which tire you do first.For the record the air from your compressor is 78 percent nitrogen.You will likely have more of a problem with the corrosion from the sand/salt encountered on the beach. Hopefully you will be able to thoroughly fresh water flush the undercarriage of your coach when this adventure concludes.Good luck.:S

I would never decrease to that level or even close to that. You have the potential to flatten one or more of your dual mounted tires. You tires can bump against each other knocking loose from the rims. Instant flat!

Thanks for the reply. We drive on the soft sand no pavement or hard pan. Need to have lower tire pressure or the rig will bog down and get stuck. And yes the rig will get a nice bath on Sundays to wash away the sand and salt.
