Tire Minder vs TST tire pressure monitoring system?

I've had a TST system for a few years now and it has worked well. I just bought a motorhome and it has the Tire Minder system. I'm just wondering what system to stick with. I'd have to buy 4 sensor...

Which system is newer? Either one require the use of a sealant, like teflon tape to not leak air at the valve stem? Is one easier to set up than the other? Have another vehicle you could use the extra set on? We have a 7 year old PressurePro
System (8 out of 14 sensors we own still work) on our B+. Then we have a one year old TST set on the Phaeton with an extra TST monitor and sensors on our Sport Trac. Each system on each vehicle has saved us a least one tire and or damage to the vehicle.
