I'm considering getting a tire temperature monitoring system instead of pressure. I check the pressure manually before hitting the road, but then while on the road I just check the temp. I try to stop in the first half hour and just walk around touching each tire. If one feels hotter, then I worry. Thereafter I check every time I stop for something.
Therefore, since I'm more concerned about temp, I think a temp monitoring system makes more sense. I'd like to find one that has a sensor that is not on the valve stem, something like an infra-red sensor in the wheel well. Would be easier to service.
