When we got the MH, the previous owners had put on extensions. One of the braided hoses failed (it was completely gone) but luckily did not deflate the tire as the valve depressor piece left with the hose. 3 of the other 45 degree? extensions developed leaks. I removed all the extensions and had the local tire shop install the Borg long valve stems. No more worries about leaky extensions. Tire shop only charges $25 per tire to install the new valve stems.
BTW, the batteries in the Tire Minder sensors only seem to last about 9 - 10 months. First winter had one leak and ruin sensor. Now I pull the batteries when the unit goes to storage. Put new ones in in the spring and good for season. Tire Minder replaced the sensor for free even though was not their fault. Good company.
