Rubber stems can not handle the added weight when traveling at highway speeds.
This has been my hesitation on add TPMS. I just don't trust rubber stems over the long haul to handle the extra weight and force applied when accelerating, at speed and during braking. The bending stress on rubber stems concerns me. If I get a TPMS I'll have the rubber stems replaced with metal.
