I have had theTireTraker for over 2 years for MH and tow. Had to have the range extender replaced to a hard wired one and again, works great. Owners of company are wonderful to work with and sent out replacement part promptly. Would highly recommend this brand to anyone. Very easy to set up and program. Batteries are very inexpensive when replacing, especially from EBay.

You should be okay with that device.. Make sure you get a tread wear gauge from either Auto Zone, Pep Boys, or even an employee at Discount Tires...

That way you can always make sure your tires are road safe.

The sending units are not hard to program but read through the manual and thoroughly understand how to do it before attempting it. The setup process has to be followed to the letter in order for everything to work properly. It's easier to think through the process without attempting it as you're learning it.

The installation process is one of those things that could be as easy as 123 or get complicated. We had to replace the valve stems on all 6 wheels to get the sending units in a position where they could be easily installed and have sufficient clearance to fit through the holes in the wheel simulators (hub caps). In our case it added another few dollars to the cost, but since we were already planning to rebalance the front tires and replace the rears it wasn't excessive.

If you have to replace all the valve stems and rebalance all the tires expect to add another $250.00 to the cost.

Thanks all who responded. Ive read alot of good and bad comments but these seemed to fair better. Hope they get here soon as we are heading out shortly. Are they much of a problem to install and program.

I have had the TST 10 tire system for over a year now. I can attest to the sensors durability. I had a tire on my tandem axle car trailer come apart, rubber everywhere. While the tire was disintegrating it appears that some of it slapped the tire next to it and broke off that tires valve stem and the sensor went flying down the road at 55mph. While I was changing the two tires the wife went looking for the missing sensor. She found it and the plastic cap that broke off it. When we got home I glued the cap on and the sensor still works fine.
Note that you should use very short and or metal valve stems with the sensors. I started with standard rubber valve stems on the trailer and found that they were banging the wheels, probably caused from centrifugal force and bumps.

We installed the 507 system earlier this year and so far it works great. In our case I ordered the repeater but found it wasn't necessary. The sending units are tougher than I expected. We went off roading last week and forgot to remove them. I now know for a fact they are waterproof. After a good soaking several times in foot deep water they still work perfectly. I guess I was just lucky I didn't clip one off or destroy it on a sharp rock.

NOTE TO SELF: Remove tpms sendeing units BEFORE off roading.
