Tire Pressure

Hi
I have dual tires in the rear of my motor home & obviously 2 in the front
I know front tires are to be set at 65 psi max & rear tires at 80 psi
What is considered a safe range among all 4 rear tires & a safe range among 2 front tires
As it now is 4 rear tires all read different psi but within 5 psi & front tires are within 5 psi of each other
Is this OK????
Or do all 4 rear tires need to be the exact same psi & all front tires the exact same psi????
Please some of that great help
Thanks
Ted

  • Your posts seem to indicate you have a 23 ft. I have a 24 ft. I run 65 in the front 60 in the rears, as per ford door sticker specs. At 80 and 65 I would be bouncing all over the place, I think. Bet your specs are very close to mine. may want to drop those rears down, in my opinion
  • You might want to consider a Tire Pressure Monitor system. Sure takes out the guess work & kneeling down & fiddling with a tire pressure gauge every time. I had a tire pressure equalizer system on our 2002 Shasta Sprite, but decided to go with a full TPM system on our "new" Jamboree. I installed the system from EEZ RV Products & love it! I switch in on about 5 minutes before we plan to take off, it warms up, reads all of the pressures for me while I'm doing other stuff. No getting down on my hands & knees & fighting with the inside tires & all.
Worth the cost in my book.

Not only is it OK, it is to be expected.

No two tires/wheels are EXACTLY alike.......and most of the time one side will be in the sun and the other side in the shade.

    That is not safe.

Set them to the recommended pressure +/- 2 psi when "cold" (that is after sitting overnight)and then don't worry if some go up a bit more than the others.

YOU SHOULD NEVER RELEASE AIR FROM A HOT TIRE.....unless maybe you suddenly realize that you put way too much in to start with.
