Actually the PSI recommended on the GVWR plaque ASSUMES, repeat ASSUMES that each axle is loaded to its GAWR-- not over or under. That is what the plaque's PSI is calculated from.
If you are close to GAWR, the numbers are accurate. If (as you hope) you are well under GAWR so you have a safety reserve, the PSI is not what your tire manufacturer recommends as a minimum.
So the answer is the plaque PSI may be very close to WAY off depending on actual weight.
