I’d buy whatever I could find for $50 on Craigslist that isn’t too old.
New tire? Who cares, it’s a spare. It’s not like you’re trying to optimize ride, longevity, whatever. It’s meant to get you the rest of the way to point B when you had a flat halfway there.
