A reasonable statement If (THAT IS A BIG IF) they have been taken care of during that time.
OR, were they driven under inflated, left sitting in the sun, overloaded, curbed, etc.
As with most mechanical things, their "care and feeding" DOES affect their effective safe life.
If you don't now how they were treated, this is a poor place to save a few bucks!
