Some of you are missing the point. It's much easier and faster with an IR thermometer to check temperatures than it is to check tire pressure.
What's the first thing that happens when tire pressure decreases or a tire is overloaded because the adjacent tire is going down? The tire starts to heat up. So by checking temps you ARE checking inflation. It takes just a few seconds to walk around the vehicle while fueling and shoot the temps on every tire.
Unscrewing all the valve caps and using a tire gauge takes much longer. And you lose a bit of air every time you do.
