My existing Michelin 255/80x22.5 tires are 8 years old and I am replacing them. The Michelins I have on now I have been pleased with. When I bought them 8 years ago they were 2400 dollars out the door...

I've had two blowouts, for whatever reason, but both were with GY's, 5 and 6 yrs old and both were in NY state. Not saying that GY's are faulty, just saying that I believe it can happen with any tire. Have 6 new Hercules on the rig now and expect them to perform as well as the Hercules that are on the drive axle of my other coach. The others there are Hankooks, which have a good reputation as well. In fact, I know of no tire brand that has a continuous reputation for being bad, otherwise the government would be looking into it by now.
