Tires
The tires on my C are approaching 5 years old. A buddy of mine suggested new tires at 5 years regardless of how many miles are on them. I have 26,000 on them now. They are OEM Generals and seem to ...

Our rig bought new in 2007 is less than 24 feet long, is kept in a garage, and currently has 36,000 miles. Our original crack-free tires are now 10.5 years old. The first 7 or 8 years, they filled the garage with the fragrance of "new tire". The rear tires still look like new with excellent thread wear, wearing evenly with plenty of thread remaining. Our front tires have chaffing from up/down motion because our front is a bit light. We have heavy duty RV shocks to help but they do not eliminate that motion. The tire chaffing makes the front tires generate a cyclic rumble. Sometimes I favor replacing the front tires. Other times I favor replacing all 6 tires to provide a good opportunity to change our steel wheels to Alcoa alloy wheels. But I most favor swapping the front tires with each other in-hopes to cancel the rumble because it worked on our first motor home with the same phenomena.
