Several new cars that we have purchased in the last few years have come with Continentals.
Our '08 Dynasty came with Michelins. Six and a half years and 57,000 trouble free miles I replaced with Michelins through the FMCA program in June of 2013 (original tires had a 4306 date codes). The tire store gave me $50 each for the take-off's. I drove on those new tires for almost 13,000 miles before selling it in fall of 2014.
Now, our new coach came with Michelin's. Michelin is the only manufacturer of the 365 tire that we run on the steer and tag axle. We have 315's on the drive axle. The two front tires were replaced under warranty as I was getting a vibration (100% covered). The two 365's were listed on the invoice at Prevost at $1,002 each.
I trust my Michelin's. Good friends had factory Goodyears on their '07 Monaco Signature that started the rivering problem so they replaced them with Michelin's (just the fronts). They sold that coach in 2012 and replaced them all with new Michelin's with before selling it.
I remember reading about Michelin's that had problems years ago. I haven't heard anything lately about problems.
Safe travels,
MM.
