tires

About 3 thousand miles ago I installed Toyo tires on the motorhome and at speeds over 40 miles per hour the tires sound like they are singing or the sound you hear when you pass the semi trucks. Is this common or could I have a bearing going bad?

From their website, looks like a good choice.
  • FIRE UP: Yes, On some pavements they do seem quieter. That,s for the thought.

Does it make the same noise on different pavement surfaces? That is, there a few types of surfaces of pavement, smooth, semi-smooth, rough (think "chip seal") etc. There is also concrete surfaces too and, some of those may or may not have "rain grooves" in it. My tires will make different sounds as I change the surface we drive on. Have you owned the coach long? Have these tires always made the noise or is this new?

  • Depending on the tread pattern it may be normal. Some tires are just louder and/or sing more than others.
