So we found a Class C that we like, at what we feel is a good deal. Now do we pull the trigger and make the purchase or should we wait for the winter/spring for a possibly better deal? The thought is with August coming around, how much more would we be able to use it. My wife also feels that we might be able to get a better deal during the winter. I am more of an impulse buyer and say we should, but it is our first RV, so would love to get some opinions. For those who want to know it is a newer used Class C that is actually like new.

Being that my wife and I love the RV Lifestyle....I would buy sooner (if you feel the deal is good) and start enjoying now.Too many people wait until it is too late. Life is short.

If it is a good price, chances are it won't be there when winter comes. And when winter comes, why not wait until spring? There may be a better deal then...To be honest, I would jump on it. We bought our tt in January and if we had waited, we could have saved a couple of thousand $ when the spring sales came around. Of course, we wouldn't have been able to use it for those three months to go to the beach and to spring training. We camp 12 months of the year though.

These are always tough questions because everyone's sense of value is different. I wouldn't call myself an impulse buyer- I take my time and do my homework - but if I find the right unit I will have a hard time resisting the impulse to buy, even if the price is higher than I'd like. My needs and wants are more important than getting the best price I can get. Timing is always an issue too. Do I need it now, in a month, or a year from now? There are those who are mostly interested in price, not necessarily getting what they really want. That doesn't work for me, ever. The person who gets exactly what he wants at exactly the price he wants is probably pretty rare. People will not tell you the truth about what they actually paid for something. The best deal I ever made was for my 5th wheel because I badgered the dealer for 18 months with incessant questions, and he made me an unrefusable offer to shut up and go away!
