To DP or not DP

Thanks for all the responses gang. I think my fear of the unknown is probably unfounded. Going to test drive a few DP's and higher end gassers in the coming months and start whittling down. Probably attend a few shows. I expect this will be a lot longer process than buying the first few rv's we've had. Much more thought about true livability and a floorplan that we love with some sort of work space. I always liked the Damon 37kt floorplan but I don't think any DP from a higher end brand has that sort of layout with a truly dedicated living room. Winnie, Newmar and Tiffin will probably be where I start. I am sure I'll have more questions to come.
