Same here, until recently. The old AS said "septic tank safe" the new does not say that and several RVers have had a problem with it.

It is simple really...take one square of TP, put in 1 cup of cold water, let stand 15 minutes, stir...if it disolves into mush...you are safe to use it.

To compare...I tried this test with facial tissue, paper napkins, paper towels and moist bathroom wipes...they all failed.

Whatever DW buys that is on sale in the grocery store. She is in charge of that department, I just keep it flowing.

Scott's and we never use chemicals and have never had a problem the trick is don't skimp on the flush.

Get a mason jar, fill it with water put in toilet paper and shake. use a brand that you can live with that breaks down easy. That is the basic, is it rv safe, test method I use.

It's an RV and you must use RV specific toilet paper.
RV'n is different and therefore all logic must go out the window.

RV has huge dump lines from toilet to tank. Tank has a large drain line going out
Stuff from toilet only has to fall a few feet into tank......stuff in home has to travel many feet to get to septic tank/sewer line.

Water carries the stuff along....plus gravity.
If you use TP fill toilet bowl full prior to flushing.

There are several things that should not go into an RV toilet and into tank......cells phones, kids toys, wipes etc. but TP isn't one.
Use what your bottom likes.......then flush it with a full bowl of water.
Dump black tank when it is full so that the liquid can carry the stuff out the big ole drain line.

RV toilet paper is like RV black tank deodorant. If your tanks are properly installed, properly vented and you use plenty of water, you do not need either one. They are a cash cow for the maker.

Same here...we've used Scott's for 10 years, and just one travel trailer. Just be diligent about good tank flushing and always keep some water in the black tank!

He's right!! They do!! But they clog the tanks. Put them in a lined wastepaper can. Then it does not matter what you use.
