Do your own test and you'll see which is OK. Take a couple of squares of your tissue and put in 1/2 full jar of water, put in bathroom. Shake once a day for one or two seconds. See how many days it takes to dissolve. You've just done a simulated test on paper products. Now do the same thing on baby wipes, paper towels etc and you'll see why it is very important to only use paper products that will not hang up in your tank.

We use Costco "septic safe" tissue for years and no problems and don't use any chemicals.
  • we have always used rv paper, but i have always heard the best thing is to put a piece in water and see if it dissolves. if it dissolves it should be fine.
  • We too have always used two ply Scotts at home and in the RV. Have never had a problem
  • We use whatever we use in the stick and bricks. Flush with lots of water and never a problem in 6 different trailers over the years.
  • RV turlet paper is just another way to mark up something common. Use what you like as per above.
  • Use any you want the trick is to use water for the flush, it all breaks down. For me if you have to use the TP then the bowl gets filled for the flush.
