This is possibly important here: Jeep says put the transmission in park, not neutral. I have a bud who made the mistake of putting it in neutral on his Jeep, and it burned up his transmission. Evidently, there was just enough torque applied through the transfer case even though it was in neutral to turn the transmission just enough to cause severe damage.
Secondly, it is MUCH safer to put the battery disconnect on the negative/ground terminal of the battery. If you insist on putting it on the positive terminal, you must be VERY careful that there is no way for an errant wire, rod, or ANYTHING to EVER cause a short between the body (or anything else) and that switch. Most battery disconnects fit the negative terminal much better than the positive one for this very reason.
