when considering the type of toad what should one consider? rather on a dolly or not?

I know the Wranglers had issues 07-11 with the 3.8 and 4 sp transmission. In late 12 that all got reworked 3.6 and 5 sp and I think, (I hope) that resolved most of the issues.
