There are several toads(dinghys) that can be towed 4 down with no special prep and that do not accrue mileage... Most of the jeeps are that way.. I tow a jeep... So that is my favorite dinghy Our current has 106,000 on the odometer, and another 127,000 being towed... There are a lot of others that can fill your bill.. Look at either the FMCA towing guide or the Motorhome Magazine towing guide it will give you exact information.
Towing a trailer does have some advantages none of which would fall in the handy category. There is considerable expense to set up a car to be towed, which should be a factor you consider. Tow bar, base plate, and could be a supplemental braking systems...
