Couple of things above relate to MD First a lot of their tolls are one way and pricey. Second is that with my DP and trailer that has 3 axels it costs me $36.00 to cross the 301 bridge into VA......I don't think its any longer to go I-95 but the traffic there is the real problem.
We don't fight these toll roads----most were built with tax payer money in the first place---and then they charge you to use them......Remember the PA turnpike opened 60 years ago and was supposed to be paid for in 10 years----pretty long 10 years......To their credit VA closed the tolls on the Richmond - Petersburg Turnpike years ago. Claimed it cost more to collect than they collected.
There is a rumble going on in NC to start charging tolls on I-95, I-77, and I-85......Wake up America. The Feds need to break up the practice of States charging people to drive on Interstate highways.
