I certainly understand the discrepancy of charging more for towing vs. separate vehicles. But, I can tell you that for $5 savings, I'm not stopping to unhook. First. we have a cover on our Honda that would have to be removed as it covers the whole front end. I can lay the windshield part over on the hood and snap it down but would probably be ticketed for not showing headlights and turn signals.
I just avoid the California toll roads as I know the way around and would rather avoid tolls all together if I can. In the east, it's 'toll' city..... but I don't know the area well enough to avoid it if that's even an option.
