Yes, one of the reasons I chose the app is that it doesn't require an internet connection to work...just to update and I can do that with the WiFi connection.
I did read the reviews from the unhappy users but there are a lot more satisfied than dissatisfied so I can only hope I'm in the former category. I'm in wait and see right now and I will monitor it carefully against the Nuvi once we start our trip. Not a lot of investment here so I'll ditch it in a heart beat if it doesn't stack up and buy a new Garmin with a large screen.
Still not convinced about the whole dedicated RV thing but I'll keep an open mind. I don't completely trust ANY GPS device and always check the routing against other sources just in case.
