Had pulled into a CG in NY State on an upper loop...finished setting up when GF pointed out to me an umbrella sticking out of the roof of a 5vr down below us.
Curiosity got the best of me and I just had to know the story as rain was forecast later that evening.
Walked down and said "Say, you've got an umbrella sticking out of your roof. What's up with that?"
Wife grinned and went inside rig........Man hee-haw'd and answered "Replacing the A/C unit and new one didn't arrive yet. Hoping that it doesn't rain much"
Well, I knew there was more and he finally coughed it up.
"Wife told me NOT to take that road but GPS showed it was shorter.......didn't listen, knocked the A/C unit completely off under that low overhead. Bad enough I tore the unit off but now I have to listen to her for the next year!"
Know the height of your rig........measure it hooked up ready to roll (ALL RVS)
and look UP!
