Top 10 tips for newbies...

DW & I have been full timing for about 9 months and I just made s beginner's mistake that cost me a bunch of money.
While we are enjoying ourselves, it would be nice to have a list of tips & tricks to help us newbies... So I'll start this off with
1.) Don't over pack.
2.) Flush the black tank on a regular basis. Don't just drain it.

And now let's hear from you guys...
  • After 40 years of RVing, I think one of the biggest issues any RVer faces is, especially newbies..... is bad batteries (lack of maintenance). The engine is the heartbeat of the chassis and the batteries are the heartbeat of the coach.

So the first tip I would give....get to know your batteries intimately and put them at the top of your maintenance list.
  • Be sure to have enough tools to work on your rig if (when) needed.
  • Just a few more are:
Get your coach weighed when loaded for travel
Check your tire pressure each morning before getting on the road
Have a good roadside service policy
Collect all manuals available for your coach and it's systems
