Top brands, where to service?

We are thinking about getting a class C. We are total newbies. Is there any consensus on the top class C brands? If so, what are they?

If, say, it is built on a Ford chassis, can you get the usual "Ford stuff" maintenance done at most Ford dealers?

  • I haven't seen many posts suggesting a look at Thor Motor Coach. I did a lot of research before my purchase and ended up with Thor for several reasons not the least of which was value for price. Lots of people besides me must be buying Thor coaches for them to be the number 1 motor home brand in North America.

I just posted a similar question regarding service and the consensus was owners perform their own maintenance. I can't self service my coach so I'll probably have it done by my dealership.
  • Not every Ford dealer will want to service a Class C. YOu can contact Ford and they will provide a list of " willing dealers", for example I believe there were 3 in CT
  • Categories have gotten a little blurry , C, B+, super C etc.....if you are interested in Pure Class C only top two IMO are Lazy Daze and Triple E..
  • Lazy Daze, Bornfree, LTV, Coachhouse, Triple E, Nexus might also be worth a look.
