We've been using Blue Ox tow bar and US Gear brake for 10 years. My wife will guide me in sometimes and checks the lights. but I also travel alone quite often and I have zero issue hooking up.
I will strongly second the DON'T GET SIDETRACKED warning. Have a list, and be like Sana Claus, check it twice, or is that thrice? It will pay dividends!
