I towed with a dolly for a couple of years. Plan ahead stay at places that have pull through spots. I never unhooked the dolly. Many times never unloaded the car if it was just over night. Never had a problem. I did have a place in Main that I had to unhook the dolly to get out of the campground because it was so tight I had to back up in a couple of places.
