I have it on my F150 and love it when I'm hauling 4000 pounds of gravel on a 1000 pound trailer. Holds the truck back going down hills and keeps it from shifting up to soon. It sounds like you must be hauling a lighter trailer and it's not needed. If you had a loaded 20 foot trailer behind you and were in the mountains I bet you'd love it. It would be nicer if it was adjustable depending upon the trailers weight. I wouldn't think that would take much effort on Fords part but every little knob costs them money.
